Josh B. Maness graduated from the University of Texas in 2001 and South Texas College of Law in 2004. After gaining experience as a roughneck and briefly defending insurance companies, he served as an assistant District Attorney in Marshall, Texas, starting in 2006. In 2008, he established his own practice, focusing on representing individuals in personal injury cases. He has extensive trial experience, having handled over 90 jury trials, and is admitted to practice in Texas and the United States District Court, Eastern District of Texas. He is also the current president of the Harrison County Bar Association.
