About Joshua
Josh Nielsen is the founding attorney of Nielsen Legal. He grew up in Western North Carolina and attended the University of North Carolina at Wilmington for his undergraduate degrees in History and English, graduating Summa Cum Laude. He then attended Elon University for law school, graduating in the top 15% of his class in 2012. Josh became a North Carolina Board Certified Specialist in Criminal Law in 2018. With over 12 years of experience and hundreds of jury and bench trials, he is committed to providing strong trial advocacy skills across Western North Carolina. He is licensed to practice in North Carolina state courts, the U.S. Court of Appeals 4th Circuit, the U.S. District Court Western District of North Carolina, and the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians Tribal Court. In his free time, Josh enjoys outdoor activities such as skiing, golf, and motorcycle riding.
