About Kara
Kara Weisman is the co-founder of Vahdat Weisman Law, where she represents clients in complex, high-stakes cases, including multiple multi-million-dollar catastrophic injury matters. She focuses her practice on medical malpractice, wrongful death, civil rights, and a wide range of personal injury claims. Licensed to practice in all Michigan state and federal courts, Kara obtained a $13 million settlement for a critically injured client in 2023-the second-highest reported settlement in Michigan that calendar year. She has also litigated significant claims in Texas and California. Before establishing Vahdat Weisman Law, Kara had the honor of clerking for the Hon. Richard J. Garcia and Hon. R. George Economy at the Ingham County Probate Court. During law school, Kara also clerked for the Federal Defender’s Office for the Eastern District of Michigan and was deeply involved with the Innocence Project, where her work contributed to the dismissal of all charges against a wrongfully convicted client, restoring his freedom after years of incarceration. As a co-founding partner, Kara is known for her zealous advocacy and unwavering commitment to her clients. She takes pride in standing up for individuals and families during their most difficult times and pursuing justice with passion and persistence. Outside the courtroom, Kara enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and cooking. She is also dedicated to philanthropy and community service, taking great pride in giving back through her work on the Parent Advisory Committee at Mott Children’s Hospital Congenital Heart Center.
