Katie Ghiardi is an associate with the firm. As an associate with the firm, Ms. Ghiardi handles third party negligence in the civil litigation department. In addition to the civil litigation department, Ms. Ghiardi is the lead attorney of the firm’s worker’s compensation division representing injured workers across the State of Maryland. Ms. Ghiardi has earned the distinction of being named a Rising Star Super Lawyer for the year 2025, a distinction earned by less than 5% of lawyers in the State of Maryland. Ms. Ghiardi also provides legal services on a pro bono basis, to assist those with expungement, shielding proceedings, rent court and criminal defense. Ms. Ghiardi graduated from the University of Baltimore School of Law in 2021. At the University of Baltimore, Ms. Ghiardi served as a Rule 19 Student Attorney in the Civil Advocacy Clinic representing low-income individuals in many areas of civil practice, including housing, consumer, education, and public benefit laws. Prior to becoming an associate with the firm, Ms. Ghiardiwas the law clerk in the litigation department. Ms. Ghiardi received her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology with a minor in Criminology degree from Millersville University of Pennsylvania in 2017. In her free time, Ms. Ghiardi enjoys hanging out with her husband, Steven, and her dogs, Tanner and Callie.
