Kayla Frisby

About Kayla

Kayla Frisby began her legal practice at Webster Henry in 2011, and after leaving in 2019 to serve as a staff attorney on the Alabama Court of Criminal Appeals and then as General Counsel for a large detention and security contractor and manufacturer, Kayla joined Webster Henry of counsel in March 2024. She focuses her practice on insurance and corporate defense and general liability. Besides handling all drafting, reviewing, and negotiation of prime contracts, subcontracts, letters of intent, non-disclosure agreements, and other corporate and contract documents in her previous role as General Counsel, she also handled and provided legal advice on a variety of corporate and litigation matters. She has also served as an adjunct law professor, teaching Insurance Law and Contract Drafting. Kayla graduated summa cum laude from Faulkner University with a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice and Legal Studies in 2006, earning the 2006-2007 Outstanding Legal Studies Student Award. She received her Juris Doctorate from The University of Alabama School of Law in 2010. While in law school, Kayla competed as a member of the trial advocacy team and received the George Peach Taylor Award for outstanding advocacy in a national trial advocacy competition. She was also the 2010-2011 recipient of the Prince Trial Advocacy Scholarship. Kayla lives in Montgomery with her husband, Stephen, and their four children. Kayla serves on the Board of Trustees of Alabama Christian Academy and on Faulkner University’s Legal Studies Advisory Board. She is a member of the Landmark church of Christ, where she co-teaches a women’s textual Bible study.
