About Kent
Kent M. Luckey is a lifelong resident of Northern California who pursued a career as a trial lawyer from an early age. He graduated from California State University, Chico, where he was a Director of the Community Legal Information Center. He worked as a paralegal for a large litigation firm before attending the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law. He earned a place on the Moot Court Honors Board and completed ten unassisted trials as a certified law student in the office of the United States Attorney. After law school, he joined a litigation firm, trying cases in State and Federal Court for corporations and insurance companies, and successfully argued matters before the 3rd and 5th District Courts of Appeal. In 2001, he became an in-house litigator specializing in defending high exposure catastrophic injury and wrongful death lawsuits. His practice is now devoted to protecting the rights of injured people. He is a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates, certified as an 'Advocate' by the National Institute of Trial Advocacy, and holds the 'AV Preeminent' rating from Martindale Hubbell. He is also a member of the National Trial Lawyers, Top 100, and has been recognized by Sacramento Magazine as a Top Personal Injury Lawyer since 2017. He serves as a judge pro tem and court-appointed mediator for local courts.
