About Kevin

Kevin Sweeney is a native of Chico, California. He attended Chico State University from 1970 through 1972, participating in Football, Boxing, and the Ski Team. He transferred to the University of California Berkeley, graduating in 1974 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree, with Honors. Kevin then attended the University of California, Hastings College of the Law in San Francisco. During law school, he worked for several insurance companies, adjustment agencies, and defense firms dealing with personal injury matters. Upon graduation, Kevin worked as an associate with Leverenz and Ward, a real estate and civil litigation firm, quickly becoming a partner. He later established his own firm, continuing representation of Boards of Realtors and serving on various committees. During his more than 40 years of practice, Kevin has handled numerous court and jury trials, administrative hearings, and Federal Court appearances. He has also served as a civic leader on numerous non-profit boards.
