About Kijana
Kijana Mitchell graduated magna cum laude from the University of North Alabama with her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. She earned her Juris Doctor from Faulkner University’s Jones School of Law, where she graduated cum laude. She has dedicated her career to advocacy, working both as a lobbyist for a statewide advocacy organization and a victim’s advocate during law school. Kijana had a very engaging law school experience. Her involvement includes, but is not limited to, serving as a fellow for Ms. JD, a senior editor for the Faulkner Law Review, vice president of the Public Interest Law Foundation, and member of the Ernestine S. Sapp Chapter of the Black Law Students Association’s mock trial team. She served as the 11th Circuit representative for the Federal Bar Association’s law student division for two years and helped start the student chapter at Faulkner Law. She also interned with the Honorable Kelly F. Pate in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Alabama. She is admitted to practice in Alabama and Florida. Kijana is actively involved in her community through membership in Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated, where she leads several committees and initiatives. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, reading, and painting.
