About Krista
Krista was an Assistant State Public Defender in Marathon County before joining Petit & Dommershausen’s Oshkosh office in 2025. Krista is a Milwaukee native (Wauwatosa) where she spent several years in the biotech field before finishing her degree in Biology at UW-O. While skilled in bioscience, she realized law was her passion, especially criminal defense. Krista can help in various areas of criminal defense including DUI, drugs, and domestics. She is also skilled in other areas of law such as juvenile defense, CHIPS/JIPS, and Chapter 51/55 commitments. Helping people and providing excellent client service have always been core motivators for her and continue to be her top priority. She participated in Law Review at Mitchell Hamline School of Law, first as an Associate and then as a Contributing Editor. Krista has also been a volunteer with Judicare and Growing Oshkosh. Krista enjoys playing tennis, dancing, and spending time with her daughters.
