About Kyle

Mr. Tompkins attended Marquette University Law School where he graduated Magna Cum Laude and in the top 10 of his class. He uses his strong legal education and diverse experiences to analyze problems and find solutions for his clients. Mr. Tompkins currently focuses his practice on transactional matters. He counsels fiduciaries concerning complex estate and trust administration matters. H further advises clients on effective estate planning strategies such as probate avoidance and estate tax planning. Additionally, he works with business clients in general corporate matters, including entity formations, contract review, business transactions and succession planning. He strives to provide thorough advice to small business owners on forming an entity and managing the risks of running a business. He is also available to assist in other litigation or transactional matters involving real estate, employment issues, and insurance disputes. Since returning to the Peoria area in 2014, Mr. Tompkins has become actively involved both the legal community and Peoria community in general. He is an active member of the Peoria County Bar Association in which he serves on the Young Lawyers Committee, Real Property Committee, and Fitness, Health, and Wellness Committee. He also is a member of the Young Professionals of Greater Peoria, an organization that has allowed him to explore other opportunities within Peoria’s business community and charitable organizations. Mr. Tompkins further serves on a committee for the Children’s Home Association of Illinois, which our law firm has long supported. In addition, he recently joined an Estate Planning Advisory Council for the Salvation Army. As a reflection of his dedication professionally and to the community, Kyle has been recognized as an Emerging Lawyer in numerous fields and was selected in 2018 for Peoria’s Forty Leaders Under 40.
