L. Brooke Bowman Mitchell is a native of Madison County, Kentucky. She graduated summa cum laude with a B.A. in English from the University of Kentucky and was in the top 8% of her law school class at UK, where she served on the Kentucky Law Journal. She practices in civil litigation, personal injury, medical malpractice, insurance defense, contract and boundary disputes, estate planning, probate, and business transactions. She is admitted to practice before all Kentucky state courts, both U.S. Federal District Courts in Kentucky, the U.S. Bankruptcy Court, Eastern District of Kentucky, and the United States Supreme Court. She has successfully tried cases in various Kentucky Counties and argued before the Kentucky Court of Appeals. She was voted 'Best of Richmond' by the readers of the Richmond Register in 2015, 2017, 2018, and 2019. She currently serves as an Assistant Madison County Attorney and sits on the City of Richmond Board of Ethics.
