About Landon

Landon has always had a love of the great outdoors and life out in the real world. As a youngster, Landon was a member of the 4-H Club, raising steers and hogs. He graduated from East Ascension High School. There, he lettered 3 years in football for the EA Spartans and also played baseball. In his junior year at East Ascension, he received state-wide recognition for Academic All-State in football, obtaining over a 4.0 GPA. Landon attended Millsaps College in Jackson, Mississippi, where he deep-snapped for the Millsaps Colonels and played on the defensive line. Landon hung up the jersey and moved back home where he attended Louisiana State University, receiving a bachelor’s in history. Landon worked for the Ascension Parish President as a legal assistant to the Parish Attorney. Landon sees a close relationship between the law and history. In his words, “The law is a body of rules which reflect our society’s history of morals, values and our view on the world and how it “should” be.” Landon noted that his love for history was a perfect fit for his study of the law. When asked why he decided to practice law Landon said, “I can remember as a kid walking through the grocery store or hardware store with my dad. People would stop and thank him for the help. Seeing those people over the years reach out and thank him in that way was unforgettable. I knew that in this career as a lawyer, a single person can make a difference. In the courtroom, people’s lives and livelihood are at stake. If I can help tell their story and make a meaningful impact, that makes all the hard work worth it.”
