About Laurin

Laurin Davis Hamilton grew up in Jackson, Mississippi, graduating from Forest Hill High School in 1992. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Southern Mississippi. In 1998, Laurin began working as a general litigation paralegal, gaining integral experience in various aspects of litigation, including insurance defense, trucking cases, and products liability law. In 2003, she began law school at Mississippi College School of Law, graduating in May 2002 (note: dates are contradictory in source, assuming 2002 graduation for attorney experience calculation). During law school, she was a member of the Moot Court Board and a national competition team. Following law school, Laurin worked as an associate attorney at a large regional defense firm, handling asbestos, drug and medical device, personal injury, products liability, sexual harassment, and other matters for corporations, hospitals, state agencies, and insurance companies. Disillusioned with defense work, she transitioned to family law and eventually opened her own firm. She later joined The Hamilton Law Firm, where she now assists injury victims, leveraging her defense litigation experience and compassionate approach. She is an innovative and accomplished attorney with well over 20 years in the legal field.
