About Leah
Leah Penny is originally from Alexandria, Louisiana. Leah attended Louisiana College where she earned her bachelor’s in Theology, in 1996. After several years working in public relations and marketing, she went on to earn her Juris Doctorate from Loyola School of Law, New Orleans, in 2004. After law school, Leah returned to Alexandria where she completed a judicial clerkship in the 9th Judicial District Court. Leah then went on to practice law at local firms where she handled both plaintiff and defense litigation. Prior to coming to Broussard-Knoll, she served 13 years with a national insurance provider as an in-house defense attorney, with a territory covering most of central and southwest Louisiana. Leah’s great understanding of the litigation process, as well as her ability to navigate the fine details of a damages claim have led her to many successes. Driven by compassion and a desire to serve, Leah views each case as a challenge where she can zealously advocate for her client’s best interests.
