About Leann
Leann Gerlach, originally from Longmeadow, Massachusetts, graduated summa cum laude from Washington and Lee University in 2009 with a B.A. in Business Administration and Spanish. She earned her J.D. with honors from the University of North Carolina’s School of Law in Chapel Hill in 2012. In law school, she was a staff writer and contributing editor for the North Carolina Law Review, a volunteer coordinator for Carolina Street Law, and an Honors Writing Scholar. Leann began her career defending employers and insurance companies in workers’ compensation claims, giving her a unique perspective. She has successfully handled cases at various levels before the North Carolina Industrial Commission and the Court of Appeals of North Carolina. She has an AV Preeminent Rating from Martindale-Hubbell and was elected to The Best Lawyers in America for 2020, 2024, and 2025. She was also selected to the North Carolina Super Lawyers Rising Stars® from 2022-2025. She is currently the Chair of the Workers’ Compensation Section for the North Carolina Bar Association. Leann uses her extensive experience to help clients secure benefits after workplace injuries.
