L.H. “Bud” Wilbers founded The Wilbers Law Firm LLC in Jefferson City in 1958. Bud obtained his law degree from Cumberland School of Law, where he graduated as valedictorian in 1957. In 1958, he was admitted to The Missouri Bar. Early in his legal career, he gained valuable experience in personal injury law defending against claims. The insight into how commercial trucking businesses and insurance companies handle complex claims provided a solid foundation for our firm’s commitment to maximizing compensation for personal injury victims and their families. In 1980, Bud realized that he could leverage his experience defending clients against personal injury claims to help the victims of preventable accidents. Drawing on this background, Bud was able to advocate for countless personal injury plaintiffs and win. Bud’s ability in the courtroom and in his practice earned him recognition by his peers in The Best Lawyers in America list. During his 56 years of legal service, Bud earned many accolades, including membership in The Missouri Bar’s “Senior Counsel” group. He passed away Friday, March 7, 2014, surrounded by his loving family.
