LJ Leatherman is well known in Topeka-for good reason. He is passionate about fighting for his clients and providing guidance every step of the way. LJ offers aggressive, dedicated representation for individuals impacted by automobile negligence, wrongful death, third-party insurance claims, and a wide range of personal injury litigation. LJ has been with Palmer Law Group for over 30 years and has built a career defined by commitment and excellence for his clients. His excellence has been recognized throughout the region-he was named Top Lawyer of the Year by KC Magazine, Top Personal Injury Lawyer in the Best of Topeka and is consistently recognized as a Super Lawyer by Super Lawyers. Along with these accolades, LJ recently won a landmark victory before the Kansas Supreme Court. In that groundbreaking decision, the Court sided with Palmer Law and Mr. Leatherman reshaping how insurance companies handle claims in Kansas. A proud Kansas native, LJ earned his undergraduate degree from Adams State College in Alamosa, Colorado, before completing his law degree at Washburn University School of Law. Outside of the office, LJ enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, skiing, and playing golf.
