Duane believes that the legal profession is, and always has been, a “Service Profession.” This philosophy has served him well, allowing him to attain a position on the S.C. Court of Appeals, where he served from 2000 until 2003. Duane finds a great sense of personal satisfaction when given the opportunity to provide assistance to clients with legitimate claims who might otherwise be left behind because they are less fortunate than others. He believes that if you are willing to take on a legal case for someone, then you should give that person and their legal situation, regardless of payment or non-payment, the same attention you would give to any other case, including those considered to be “high profile.” Upon entering this profession, Duane vowed to always treat all of his clients with the utmost respect, regardless of their stature in the community.
