About Makayla

Makayla Gilchrist has joined Mooney Law as an Associate Attorney. She will handle matters that include Family Law, Divorce/Custody, Criminal Defense, and Civil Litigation. Attorney Gilchrist is a native of Lancaster and will work our the firm’s York office. She is a 2013 graduate of Conestoga Valley High School. She also earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice, with a minor in Psychology and a career concentration in Family, Children and Youth from Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania in 2017. She earned her Juris Doctor from Widener University Commonwealth Law School in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania in 2020. Attorney Gilchrist joined the legal team of Mooney Law as a law clerk in 2019 while completing her final year of law school. Upon graduation, Attorney Gilchrist continued her work with Mooney Law as a paralegal for Attorney Ziegler while studying for the Pennsylvania Bar Examination.
