Margaret H. Pruitt was born in Mer Rouge, Louisiana, in 1981. She graduated from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge in 2003 with a B.A. in Mass Communications and earned her Juris Doctorate from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law in 2010.
