Marjan 'Marty' R. Kmiec (1929-2023) was a founding partner of Karius, Kmiec & Kaye Law Firm in 1959 and later opened Kmiec Law Offices in 1979. He was a voracious advocate for his clients, winning several multi-million dollar verdicts and trying cases in personal injury, automobile accident, spinal cord injuries, and bad faith claims for 60 years. He was admitted to practice in Wisconsin, U.S. District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Wisconsin, the Veterans Administration, the District of Columbia, the U.S. Supreme Court, U.S. Court of Appeals for the 3rd and 7th Circuits, U.S. District Court for the Virgin Islands, Menomonee Indian Tribal Courts, Florida, and Pennsylvania. He served as President of the Milwaukee Bar Association for three years.
