About Mark

Attorney Mark Buterbaugh is a Workers’ Compensation Attorney and a managing partner of Mooney Law. He concentrates his practice almost exclusively in workers’ compensation, handling cases in Pennsylvania and Maryland. He has recovered tens of millions of dollars for injured workers and guides them through complex litigation, including denied claims, injury description expansion, and lump sum settlements. He also defends injured workers against employer-filed petitions. Prior to Mooney Law, he worked for a large insurance defense firm, gaining unique insight into insurance company strategies. He also served as an Assistant Enforcement Counsel with the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board and in multiple staff positions with the Pennsylvania House of Representatives. He graduated from Widener University Commonwealth Law School while working full-time and raising a family, and is a Penn State alum. He has been elected to the Shippensburg School Board multiple times, serving six years as President.
