Marshall James

About Marshall

Marshall James is an attorney at Solomon Law Group, LLC. He grew up in Columbia, South Carolina, and graduated with honors from Morehouse College with a B.A. in English Literature. He taught English in Japan before returning to Columbia to teach at Heathwood Hall and serve as Student Affairs Director at the South Carolina Honors College. Marshall earned a J.D. and an LL.M. in Corporate Governance from Loyola University Chicago School of Law, where he was a Frederick Douglass Midwest Regional Moot Court Champion. He clerked for U.S. District Judge J. Michelle Childs and U.S. Magistrate Judge Kaymani D. West, working on civil matters. Prior to joining Solomon Law Group, he was a prosecutor for the City of Columbia, gaining significant trial experience. He is admitted to practice in South Carolina, Illinois, and the District of Columbia.
