About Matt
Matt Kitchens is a partner at Kitchens Law Firm. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Southern Mississippi in 1995 and his law degree, cum laude, from the Mississippi College School of Law in 2002. He was licensed to practice law in Mississippi in 2002 and in North Carolina in 2008. His practice includes civil and criminal litigation, estates, and appellate work, representing clients from misdemeanor offenses to serious felonies, and various civil cases. Matt has significant experience handling all phases of litigation and appeals. He is an active member of the Mississippi Association for Justice and the Copiah County Bar Association. He has served as the Municipal Court Judge of Crystal Springs, Mississippi, since 2021. He has been awarded an AV Preeminent® ranking by Martindale Hubbell, named one of Mississippi’s leading attorneys by the Mississippi Business Journal, and received the Mississippi Association for Justice’s “Beyond the Call” award. He is also a board member of the Chautauqua Arts Foundation, Inc. and a volunteer camp counselor for Camp Rainbow for over 20 years, and involved with Camp Kamassa.
