About Matteo

Matteo Harris joined Johnson May as an associate attorney in our Boise office in September 2025. Matteo is a born-and-raised Idahoan who looks forward to making a positive difference in the community he grew up in. His practice primarily focuses on Bankruptcy, Civil Litigation, Family Law, and Business Transactions. Matteo began his legal career as a legal assistant at a small general practice law firm in Emmett, where he assisted clients through difficult times in their lives, particularly in family law and criminal defense. Matteo continued his legal assistant experience on the felony trial team at the Ada County Prosecutor’s Office. He worked as a paralegal for the City of Boise in their civil litigation department. Matteo earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Idaho College of Law in 2025 and his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Boise State University in 2017. While in law school, Matteo externed with the Habeas Corpus Prison Litigation Unit at the United States District Court of Idaho. He also interned at St. Luke’s Health System, where he gained a broad range of experience in corporate governance, labor and employment, and contracting. In his free time, Matteo enjoys spending time with his two golden retrievers and girlfriend, exploring the backcountry, and cooking (and eating) delicious meals.
