Matthew’s focus is on fixing the wrongs of the world. He fights for justice for all. He is known for his ability to problem solve the real issues of the day and then use the law to successfully fix his client’s issue - knowing the overall goal is justice for all. He has tried hundreds of cases to juries, judges, arbitrators, and magistrates. He also knows the value of mediation to resolve the conflict of the day. With over 20 years of litigation experience in Connecticut Superior, Appellate, and Supreme Court, Matthew has been up to the challenge whether the case is easy or whether he has had to change the law to serve justice for his clients. Whether it is a contractual matter, property matter, injury, or a large malpractice case, Matthew strives to provide his clients with superior legal service and excellent customer service. The client is never left in the dark as to what is going on with their individual concerns. Matthew worked with individuals and corporations to create new law in the area of property diminished value claims, is published in the area of loss of right to use claims, and basically “wrote the book” property lost time claims. Matthew also has volunteered for his Wethersfield community for over 20 years in its effort to redefine its energy policy, protect its history, and revitalize its economy. He currently serves as Wethersfield’s Deputy Mayor. You will also find him coaching baseball and ice hockey on the local kids sports teams.
