About Matthew

Matt Scanlon was born in Norwalk, CT in 1984 and raised in Trumbull, CT. After high school, Matt moved to Homestead, PA to attend Duquesne University for undergraduate music performance. After graduation, Matt attended law school, with his partner, Tim Wojton. The two became fast friends, bonding over music, movies and, especially, coffee. Matt graduated law school in 2009 and passed the bar examination that year. Matt practices in the area of personal injury, medical malpractice, general civil litigation, business litigation, family law and limited immigration removal/deportation defense. 100% of Matt’s practice is dedicated to litigation. Matt and Tim are very active in the Western PA trial community and have each tried multiple cases to verdict with successful results since they began practicing together in 2014. Notably, Matt and Tim have secured many millions in recoveries for their clients since 2014, despite being a smaller firm. Matt loves being in the courtroom as often as possible and advocating for his clients. He believes since he was a child he has been “called to be a voice for the voiceless”. In his spare time, Matt enjoys exercising, including biking, hiking and walking nature trails. Matt loves, more than anything, spending time with his family and friends, including, his wonderful wife, Ana, his daughter, Nellie, and son, Rhys. Matt resides in Mount Lebanon, a suburb of Pittsburgh.
