About Matthew

Matthew McDaniel was raised in the Cincinnati area and graduated in 2003 from the United States Merchant Marine Academy at Kings Point, New York, where he attended on a full scholarship. He later earned his Juris Doctor from the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law in 2011. Since his admission to the bar, Mr. McDaniel has built a decade-long career in private practice, representing hundreds of clients in complex and high-stakes legal matters. His practice focuses on divorce, child custody, family law, and contested civil litigation. He provides strategic legal representation to individuals, families, and businesses across Southeast Indiana and Northern Kentucky. Prior to his legal career, Mr. McDaniel served as a licensed officer aboard U.S.-flagged, unlimited-tonnage commercial cargo vessels operating along international trade routes. In that role, he was responsible for interpreting and implementing transportation safety regulations under Title 49 of the Code of Federal Regulations, governing the lawful operation of high-tonnage vessels in U.S. and international waters. Outside of the courtroom, Mr. McDaniel values time with his family, remains actively engaged in continuing legal education, and follows Cincinnati’s professional sports teams.
