About Matthew

Matthew Pierce spent his first decade of practice at a Seattle law firm, litigating disputes involving corporate control, governance, breach of contract, employment, insurance coverage, personal injury, products liability, premises liability, construction defect, real property, personal property, and intellectual property. He advises clients on potential litigation, successfully opposed and obtained receiverships, and achieved dismissals of various claims. Matthew has been involved in numerous matters leading to successful settlement, mediation, arbitration, or trial. He has briefed and argued appeals before the Washington Court of Appeals and the Washington Supreme Court, and assisted with briefs to the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. He is the content editor for the Appellate Practice Chapter for the Washington Lawyer’s Practice Manual. Before practice, he clerked for the Honorable Marywave Van Deren and served in AmeriCorps as a mediator. Matthew has lived in Bremerton since 2008.
