About Matthew
Matthew R. Eason co-founded Eason & Tambornini in 1996. Inspired by his core belief that the practice of law should be a profession rather than a profit center, he started the firm to help individuals against insurance companies and large corporations in ways other law firms do not. With this singular goal in mind, Matthew has been leveling the playing field and representing individuals in personal injury, workers’ compensation, and employment law cases for the past 25 years. As a litigator, his philosophy has always been that no fight is too large or small. With that, he has fought over 100 trials and represented Olympic hopeful athletes in international litigation matters. Being raised by a single mother in rural Texas, Matthew was exposed to the stress of financial uncertainty early on. His early life lessons compelled him to work hard and succeed academically. While attending college and law school, Matthew worked with elephants as an exotic animal trainer at Marine World Africa, USA. He attended the University of Pacific and McGeorge School of Law and graduated in the top 4% of his class. His professors awarded him the prestigious Traynor Honor Society for his written and verbal advocacy skills. Matthew’s client satisfaction rate is exceptionally high because his clients always know precisely what is happening. Aside from aggressive representation, transparency is Matthew’s number one priority. He finds fulfillment in providing sophisticated presentations without the complicated legal jargon. As a result, no client leaves his office without feeling informed. Matthew’s success has not gone unnoticed. Matthew has held a Martindale-Hubbell AV Preeminent rating for many years for his high ethical standards and professional excellence. Recognized by Super Lawyers and named a “Top Lawyer” by Sacramento Magazine, Matthew recently helped obtain a $5.6 million settlement for a paraplegic young man whose condition resulted from medical malpractice. In a different matter, where the plaintiff was offered $15,000 to settle, Matthew resolved the case for $3 million. Although he has had much success over the years, Matthew’s core values are still the same, and his clients still say they feel as if they are sitting across from a friend who happens to be a powerful ligitagor.
