An advocate for social justice and victims’ rights, Ms. Beus spent over 5 years as a Deputy County Attorney in the Major Crimes Special Victims - Sex Crimes Division of the Maricopa County Attorneys Office, where she litigated over 500 felony cases involving issues including child sexual crimes, sexual assault, aggravated assault, and internet crimes against children. While with the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office, Ms. Beus developed and taught training classes for Arizona’s Board of Executive Clemency, new prosecutors, and law enforcement, while gaining special training in working with child victims. After graduating from law school, Ms. Beus began her legal career clerking for Judge Edward Bassett.
