Ms. Burkhammer has been practicing law since 2006. She came to Alexandria in 2007, when she was hired as an Assistant Douglas County Attorney. She spent the next seven years prosecuting criminal cases for Douglas County. Since joining the Thornton Law Office in 2015, Ms. Burkhammer has put her extensive litigation experience to work for her private clients in family law, criminal defense, and general litigation matters. Ms. Burkhammer became a partner at the firm in 2018.
