
About Megan
Megan Overmann Goetz has been serving clients most recently in the areas of business advisement and development, civil litigation, and transactional law, though has a background in domestic, juvenile, and criminal law as well. Prior to joining Pence and MacMillan, Megan served as a staff attorney/judicial law clerk for the Second Judicial District Courts of Wyoming for the Honorables Jeffrey Donnell and Kenneth Stebner. Megan’s practice currently focuses on corporate law, banking law, real estate, employment and human resources law, and general entity advising. Megan is frequently asked to navigate legal issues and political waters for clients by offering guidance through multi-faceted transactions and complex litigation. Megan also acts as an independent investigator for various entities, government and private, to investigate internal complaints, provide findings and make recommendations. Megan also speaks professionally on various legal topics and civic issues around the State. As a member of Pence and MacMillan, coupled with a strong commitment to community service, Megan serves as a leader within both the legal community and the state of Wyoming. Megan was appointed by Governor Mark Gordon in 2021 to serve as one of seven Commissioners on the Wyoming Community College Commission and currently serves as Chair. Megan served as the Co-Chair of the Board of Directors of the Wyoming Business Council, together with Governor Gordon in 2019-2020. Megan was previously appointed to the WBC as a Director in 2014 by former Governor Matt Mead. Megan was appointed by the Wyoming Supreme Court as a Member of the Wyoming State Board of Law Examiners and has served as Chair. Megan has been past president of several community organizations, including the Laramie Economic Development Corporation and Rotary. Megan was selected as the Business Person of the Year in 2021 and again in 2017, and has been recognized on multiple occasions for her philanthropic endeavors. Megan was also selected as the 2019 Wyoming Women of Influence, Law Honoree. However, above most, Megan enjoys her time with her family and being part of her family’s very busy and very fun, lives!
