About Melissa

Melissa Flores was re-elected as the President of the firm on April 19, 2024, a position she has held since 2023. Flores’ practice at Blanchard Walker includes commercial and residential real estate, title examination and title insurance, and other general corporate matters. She was admitted to practice law in Louisiana and joined the firm in 2005. She earned her undergraduate degree in elementary education from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and her law degree (magna cum laude) from Loyola University New Orleans School of Law, where she was a William S. Crowe Scholar and a member of the Loyola Law Review. Ms. Flores is a past President and sustaining member of the Junior League of Shreveport-Bossier, Inc., a past board member and volunteer for the Volunteers of America of North Louisiana, and a Sunday school teacher and past member of the Vestry of St. Mark’s Cathedral.
