About Melvin

Since 1968 Melvin D. Marx has been representing clients. In his early years he handled varied matters, including workers compensation. Within a short period he developed a strong personal injury practice with emphasis on motor vehicle cases. In 1984 he became a Certified Civil Trial Attorney, which status he continued through 1998. Between 1991 and 1998, Melvin served as an arbitrator for the American Arbitration Association and the New Jersey Superior Court in Union and Essex counties. He served on the Advisory Council for No Fault Arbitration for both the American Arbitration Association and National Arbitration Forum. In 1998 he limited his practice to exclusively representing health care providers in No Fault PIP Arbitration. He has brought the highest quality of service and deep knowledge of the arbitration process to his clients. He has served the needs of healthcare providers both as an advocate during the arbitration process and as an educator by helping clients put the most effective internal processes in place to reduce outstanding receivables and ensure a more efficient arbitration. In the beginning of 2019, Melvin merged his firm with Hanna Perez, P.C. and became Of Counsel to Hanna Perez, P.C. Melvin brings decades of knowledge and experience to the Firm.
