Mr. Borneo joined the firm in 1999 and took over as managing partner in 2001. The firm has been located in Elizabeth, New Jersey directly across from the Union County Superior Court for over 20 years. Mr. Borneo’s practice is concentrated in the areas of Workers’ Compensation, Criminal Defense, Drunk Driving Defense and Municipal Court matters. Mr. Borneo has years of experience handling Personal Injury matters such as motor vehicle accidents, slip and fall accidents and trucking accidents. As a work injury attorney in Elizabeth NJ, Mr. Borneo continues to handle Personal Injury matters that arise out of Workers’ Compensation claims. Mr. Borneo attended the University of Miami School of Law and the George Washington University School of Law. He graduated from the George Washington School of Law, in 1991, with honors. While at George Washington University, Mr. Borneo secured an internship with the Honorable Richard A. Levie and the Sierra Club Legal Defense Fund. In 1987, Mr. Borneo received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from Villanova University. Mr. Borneo graduated Summa Cum Laude. Before becoming a work injury attorney in Elizabeth NJ, Mr. Borneo started his legal career in California with the law firm of Bronson, Bronson & McKinnon, LLP, as an associate litigation attorney. His practice was focused on Environmental Insurance Coverage, Personal Injury and Product Liability litigation. He represented such clients as Crum & Forster, American Airlines and Toyota U.S.A. Before relocating to New Jersey, Mr. Borneo was an associate litigation attorney with the firm of Preuss, Walker & Shanagher, LLP. His practice was focused on Personal Injury and Product Liability litigation. He represented SmithKline Beecham as national counsel in the Phen-Fen Diet Drug Litigation. Mr. Borneo is a member of the Justice James H. Coleman, Jr. New Jersey Workers’ Compensation American Inn of Court. Mr. Borneo is also the President and C.E.O. of Smoke Eaters Management Company, Inc., which owns and operates three Smoke Eaters restaurants, in Northern California. Mr. Borneo was born in Red Bank, New Jersey, in 1965. He grew up in Eatontown and later relocated to Rumson. Mr. Borneo currently resides in Fair Haven, New Jersey with his wife and three children.
