Attorney Michael Aegbuniwe is a native of York, Pennsylvania, and a 2012 graduate of Dallastown Area high School. Attorney Aegbuniwe focuses his practice of law in Family Law (including divorce, custody, support, adoptions, and termination of parental rights) and Criminal Defense (including felonies, misdemeanors, summary citations, and traffic citations), Attorney Aegbuniwe operates primarily out of the firm’s Lancaster and York offices. Attorney Aegbuniwe earned his bachelor’s degree in criminology, with a concentration in Pre-law from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 2016. Attorney Aegbuniwe graduated with Cum Laude honors from Widener Commonwealth Law School in 2019. Prior to graduation, Attorney Aegbuniwe was selected as an Academic Success fellow in the areas of contracts and legal writing. During law school, Attorney Aegbuniwe worked as a legal intern for York County Public Defender’s Office where he assisted in the representation of indigent clients charged with crimes in the York County area. Michael also interned with the Public Utility Commission where he provided support for attorneys prosecuting utility companies for violations of the Public Utility Code. Prior to joining Mooney Law, Attorney Aegbuniwe spent two years with a Cumberland County firm focusing on criminal defense and family law. During that time, Attorney Aegbuniwe was contracted as criminal conflict counsel with Dauphin County and represented clients in criminal matters ranging from simple misdemeanors to significant felonies. Attorney Aegbuniwe joined the legal team of Mooney Law in 2021. Attorney Aegbuniwe is excited to bring his compassionate and zealous advocacy to the Mooney Law team. In his spare time, Attorney Aegbuniwe enjoys building computers, playing basketball, and spending time with friends and family.
