Michael Patterson is a workers’ compensation attorney at Patterson Dahlberg, and exclusively represents employees who sustain work injuries. Michael is a Rochester native, having been born, raised, and educated in the Rochester school district. At Patterson Dahlberg, Michael works as an advocate and advisor to injured workers. Before joining Patterson Dahlberg, Michael Patterson worked as a law clerk for workers’ compensation defense firm, Heacox Hartman, P.A., and attended Mitchell Hamline School of Law. Michael graduated from Mitchell Hamline in spring of 2020 and was licensed to practice in Minnesota later that year. While at Heacox Hartman, Michael was responsible for negotiating and settling third party “intervenor” claims for practicing attorneys. This included work analyzing workers’ compensation claims, summarizing medical records, IME reports, and drafting and delivering legal arguments to persuade third parties of the potential compensability of their claims. In his free time, Michael enjoys spending time with his wife, daughter, and pets. Michael is very passionate about boating, fishing, alpine skiing, and the sport of Lacrosse. Michael is a passionate and avid muskie fishermen. He is a supporter of outdoor conservation efforts and is an occasional tournament angler. In Michael’s youth, he also played Lacrosse from middle school through college, and demonstrated significant leadership skills while serving as a two-time captain of his high school team and vice-president of his college team at the University of Minnesota - Duluth. In the winter months, Michael enjoys alpine skiing and has a history of competitive slalom skiing and freestyle skiing.
