Michael S. Taylor has over 25 years of experience litigating appeals at the Connecticut Supreme and Appellate Courts, the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit and the Supreme Court of the United States. His appellate litigation has encompassed a broad range of topics, including constitutional law, contract disputes, land use and eminent domain, insurance coverage and bad faith, criminal law, products liability and torts, dissolution of marriage, child custody and parental rights, and corporate law. Attorney Taylor also regularly counsels clients at the trial stage regarding the identification and preservation of issues for appeal and has managed large and complex civil litigation and insurance coverage disputes. He has written and lectured on appellate and insurance coverage topics and has been an adjunct professor at The University of Connecticut School of Law, teaching moot court and appellate advocacy. He co-authors Connecticut Insurance Law and The Encyclopedia of Connecticut Causes of Action.
