About Michael

Michael has been litigating since 2009 and prides himself on providing enthusiastic advocacy and compassionate client service to those who have been seriously injured or have lost a loved one due to another's wrongful conduct. Before joining the Virginia Beach office of Geoff McDonald & Associates, P.C., he gained over a decade of trial and appellate experience defending personal injury and wrongful death lawsuits for multiple insurance companies in Virginia. Thanks to this experience, Michael offers his clients valuable insights and a unique perspective. Michael is authorized to practice in all state courts of the Commonwealth of Virginia and in the following federal courts: the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia, the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit, and the Supreme Court of the United States. The Virginia Peninsula has been Michael's home since 1983, when his father's naval career brought the family to Yorktown. After graduating from high school there, Michael attended East Carolina University, where he received a Bachelor of Science Magna Cum Laude in 2006 and then William & Mary Law School for his Juris Doctor in 2009. After graduating from law school, Michael settled in Newport News with his wife, who is also a litigator. You can often find them enjoying the beautiful waterways and eclectic neighborhoods of the Virginia coast, boating on Lake Gaston, or traveling abroad in their free time.
