Michael T. Meehan is a founding member and partner of Meehanlaw, LLC, and one of Connecticut's leading matrimonial trial lawyers. He is a skilled negotiator and litigator with a client-centric approach. He holds an AV® rating (preeminent) from Martindale-Hubbell since 2011 and has been selected by Super LawyersTM annually since 2007. Michael has represented children and parties in high-conflict matrimonial law matters, achieving successful criminal jury verdicts and substantial civil jury verdicts. He has successfully represented clients in ten separate court trials at Connecticut's Regional Family Trial Docket and led the first virtual divorce trial in Connecticut history. His practice includes high net worth cases, complex financial issues, and child custody matters. He is certified by the State of Connecticut as a Guardian Ad Litem and Attorney for Minor Children, advocating for children with special needs. He has lectured on evidence and assisted in teaching advanced trial practice at Quinnipiac Law School. He also acts as a mediator, arbitrator, and parenting coordinator and takes on pro-bono work, including advocating for legislation requiring insurance coverage for Applied Behavioral Therapy for children with Autism.
