About Mitchell
Mitchell Chan joined the Law Office of Alexander Schachtel in 2024. Before joining the firm, Mitchell was a law clerk for the Honorable Thomas W. Sumners, Jr., Chief Judge of the Superior Court of New Jersey, Appellate Division. He earned his undergraduate degree in history from the University of Pennsylvania in 2018 and his J.D. from Rutgers Law School in 2023. During law school, Mitchell interned at the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority and for the Honorable Jessica S. Allen, U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey. He was also senior articles editor of the Rutgers University Law Review and a research assistant for the Rutgers Center for Corporate Law and Governance. His student note won the Rutgers Outstanding Scholastic Achievement Award for Best Student Note, Comment or Scholarly Paper.
