About Naomi

Attorney Naomi E. Soldon is a partner at Soldon McCoy and started practicing labor and employment law upon graduating from the University of Wisconsin Law School in 1990. Admitted to the United States Supreme Court, the United States Courts of Appeals for the Sixth and Seventh Circuits, the District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Wisconsin and Michigan and the State Bar of Wisconsin, Naomi has extensive trial and appellate court experience. Currently Naomi’s practice is focused on representing labor-management, jointly trusteed health and pension funds. Naomi pursues third parties on behalf of the funds, regularly obtaining reimbursement of large claims. She also drafts plan documents and summary plan descriptions, reviews documents for compliance with ever changing laws and regulations and is often in court handling a wide range of complex ERISA litigation. Naomi has routinely handled labor and employee benefit suits in arbitrations and in state and federal courts nationwide. Local union officers and business agents have regularly sought Naomi’s advice and counsel on general labor law matters like contract drafting and interpretation, collective bargaining agreement negotiations and enforcement, union organizing and representation, plant closings, family and medical leave laws, employer discrimination and other employment law matters. Highly regarded for her ERISA, labor and employment law expertise, Naomi regularly speaks on a broad range of labor law topics at seminars for attorneys and union officers, employees and stewards; and has served as President and as a member on the Board of Directors for the Wisconsin Bar Association’s Labor and Employment Law Section. Even Naomi’s adversaries acknowledge her expertise, having rated her as AV Preeminent (excellent to preeminent legal skills & ethics) for Martindale-Hubbell. Naomi has been a Contributing Editor to How Arbitration Works, and has reviewed and edited many articles for the Wisconsin Lawyer Magazine.
