About Nate

Nate is a founding partner at Nelson Jones. Prior to starting his own law firm, Nate was an associate at Alverson Taylor Mortensen & Sanders in Las Vegas, Nevada and at Mumford Rawson in Salt Lake City, Utah. While in Nevada, Nate practiced in all areas of civil litigation with an emphasis in insurance defense, construction defect, and personal injury. At Mumford Rawson, Nate practiced in all areas of civil litigation with an emphasis in family law. Nate currently practices in the areas of criminal defense, appellate law, family law, administrative law and personal injury. Prior to attending law school, Nate graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Midwestern State University, in Wichita Falls, Texas. While at Midwestern, Nate received various scholarships including an athletic scholarship to play shooting guard for the men's basketball team. Nate attended law school at the University of Utah S.J. Quinney College of Law where he received a Juris Doctorate in 2009. During law school, Nate received a CALI award for the highest grade in Civil Procedure and worked as a teaching assistant for the first year legal writing class. He also played on the University of Utah Racquetball Team. Nate is married and has four children. He enjoys spending time with his family, golfing, playing racquetball, riding dirt bikes, playing basketball, mountain biking, and fishing.
