About Neal

Neal Anderson’s career as a personal injury attorney began at his family’s dinner table. His father served as an attorney with Gerling Law for nearly four decades, and from an early age, he listened as Dad described the cases he handled. Neal felt compassion for the people whose lives were forever transformed because of someone else’s negligence or bad behavior, and he looked upon his father as a hero fighting on their behalf. While at the University of South Dakota School of Law, Neal helped the Innocence Project of South Dakota restore the freedom of people who had wrongly been imprisoned for crimes they did not commit. The work sharpened his desire to find justice for innocent people, taught him the critical importance of extensive investigation, and instilled a deep work ethic. He began his legal career handling personal injury and other types of cases for another Evansville law firm. In 2014, after five years of practice, Neal jumped at the opportunity to work alongside his father at Gerling Law. His background and diligence prepared him well for work on the most complex types of personal injury cases, including wrongful death, trucking accidents, and traumatic brain injuries. In 2019, Neal was invited to join the Million Dollar Advocates Forum, an honor extended to the fewer than one percent of American trial attorneys who have won judgments of more than a million dollars for individual clients.
