About Nicholas

Mr. Quincey is the founder of Quincey Law, and after years of practice feels very privileged to represent a variety of clients in protecting their rights from insurance company abuse. Mr. Quincey began his legal career as a Deputy District Attorney, after having served in roles with the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office (Major Crimes Unit and Victim Impact Program) and the United States Attorney’s Office while in law school. As a prosecutor, he was a member of a trial team that prosecuted a wide variety of cases including attempted murder, robbery, domestic and elder abuse, cocaine trafficking and white-collar crimes. While in law school, he worked on cold murder cases, including working on People v. Knight (featured on Dateline) and People v. Durst (subject of the HBO Docuseries The Jinx, and The Jinx Part 2). It was a combination of these experiences that honed his trial attorney and litigation skills, from which he now directs his insurance bad faith litigation law practice. Among other factors, Mr. Quincey has had a number of personal experiences with family and friends who have and are suffering serious medical conditions. The importance of quality health care and the unfortunate occurrence of insurance company misbehavior caused him to reflect on his career and a transition to a law practice that specializes in insurance bad faith litigation throughout the State of California. Mr. Quincey has successfully represented people from all walks of life against billion-dollar insurance companies, including Anthem, Blue Shield, and New York Life. He has also successfully represented clients in select personal injury cases, including catastrophic personal injury, mental health, and child sexual abuse cases. Prior to starting his own firm, Mr. Quincey was a trial attorney for two boutique law firms, focusing in insurance bad faith litigation and personal injury. Having grown up in a family dedicated exclusively to farming and public service, he believes strongly in hard work and treating people with respect and fairness. It is this background that he benchmarks corporate behavior when representing clients against insurance companies.
