Nichole M. Cotton leads Cotton Law Firm, upholding values of inclusion, respect, and diversity. Prior to law school at North Carolina Central School of Law, she worked in healthcare and automobile insurance. She specializes in criminal traffic disputes and personal injury cases, having secured significant awards for clients. Nichole is a member of the Fayetteville African American Lawyers Association. She financed her law degree by working full-time and attending evening classes, also holding a Master's in Business Management. Her legal career began as a Staff Attorney with North Carolina Legal Aid, gaining experience in domestic violence advocacy, consumer law, mortgage foreclosure, bankruptcy, family law, unemployment appeals, small claims, housing, and DUI defense. The Cotton Law Firm expanded from Lumberton to Fayetteville to serve clients across Cumberland County, where Nichole is an active community member and volunteer with the Junior League of Fayetteville. She enjoys family time, church activities, and personal wellness pursuits, and is proud of her Haitian heritage. She was voted Best Attorney in the Fayetteville Observer Readers’ Choice Awards in 2016 and 2017, and received a Top 40 Under 40 Business Award in 2017.
