About Norman

Norman 'Norm' Trask graduated from Maranacook High School in 1981. He attended the University of Maine at Presque Isle, graduating cum laude with a B.A. in History in 1985. He received his J.D. from the University of Maine School of Law in 1988. Upon graduation, he joined Richard Currier to form Currier & Trask, P.A. in 1988. Mr. Trask focuses on workers’ compensation, social security disability, personal injury, employment law, and civil litigation. He is a member of the Maine State Bar Association (Workers Compensation section), Aroostook County Bar Association, Maine Trial Lawyers Association, and the National Organization of Social Security Claimants’ Representatives (NOSSCR). He served as a Commissioner on the Maine State Harness Racing Commission (1999-2007) and is licensed by the USTA and MHRC as an Associate Judge. He serves on the Foundation of the University at Presque Isle and was elected to the Executive Committee in 2013. He is active in community athletics. Mr. Trask was presented with a 'Katahdin Counsel' Award by the Maine Supreme Judicial Court in 2015, 2016, and 2017, and received the Maine State Bar Association’s individual pro bono award in 1994, 1999, 2000, and 2006. He became a lifetime member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum in 2009. He was selected for 'The Best Lawyers in America' in workers compensation and personal injury law from 2013-2018 and recognized in 'New England Super Lawyers' for workers compensation law from 2014-2018.
