About Penny

Penny Parker is a founding partner of Kecskes, Gadd & Parker, PC. With more than 20 years of litigation experience, her practice is focused on general civil litigation and family law. Penny Parker was drawn to the field of law during her parents’ divorce and witnessed firsthand the callous and uncaring nature of some very expensive attorneys. She then attended the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor where she worked at various university jobs and was an active member of Chi Omega Sorority, acting first as House Manager and then as President. Majoring in Economics, she obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree and then decided to travel the world before pursuing a graduate degree. After living in Australia for a year she then made her way through Asia and Europe and back home to the United States, where she began law school at the University of Detroit. Her first 7 years of practice were with a private firm that focused on insurance defense, representing major insurance companies (State Farm, Allstate, Farm Bureau). The world of tort reform had her managing a heavy caseload, while trying many cases one after another throughout Metro Detroit. It was invaluable experience. Following the birth of her first child, she took a sabbatical and later joined forces with fellow attorney, Keith Kecskes, as a partner of Kecskes, Gadd & Parker, PC. Her practice is now focused on general civil litigation and all aspects of family law.
