About Philip

Phil serves as a Senior Lawyer in the Litigation and Dispute Resolution team at Johnstone and Reimer. Phil has worked in private practice throughout his legal career and has experience working in a broad range of disputed matters. He has worked in proceedings commenced in VCAT, all levels of the Victorian Courts and all levels of the Federal Courts, including the High Court. Phil also has a wealth of experience negotiating the resolution of civil disputes outside of Court proceedings, including through direct negotiation, mediation and other forms of appropriate dispute resolution. Phil is passionate about assisting his clients to solve problems and reach outcomes that are satisfying and commercially viable in each client’s unique circumstances. He understands that being involved in disputes of any nature comes with stress and uncertainty, and takes a personable approach to guide his clients through the process of litigation and dispute resolution. Phil holds a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Arts from Deakin University. Outside of work, Phil enjoys spending time with his family and two cats, attending live music and playing drums in his band.
